About the event

Even if you never find yourself in a situation where you have to string up a tarp to shelter from the rain, or build a makeshift emergency shelter from the only available resources around you.. the skills in putting up a shelter can translate to so many areas of our life.

The knots that you will learn on this workshop can be used for daily activities including handy quick release knots, tension knots and non slip knots. These are great and handy to use if you have childer and want to help build shelters and dens for them to play in.

If you joined on our earlier rope and cordage making workshop, you can even bring your rope along to use it for your shelter!

These skills can really elevate your camping and outdoor experiences, helping you feel more certain and confident in yourself and your creativity when it comes to identifying and building sheltered spaces!

This workshop is suitable for beginners and all materials are provided for. The workshop will be held outdoors, under the shade of trees by a riverside. In the event of heavy rain, even better! We will definitley get a chance to put up a tarp and have lots of practice!

The Call of the Wild series offers 5 weeks of workshops on Earth Skills and Nature Connection Guidance. Participants are invited to join for 5 sessions, with a limited number of drop-in sessions available for one-off attendees.

1 session drop-in rate: HK$660

Set of 5 sessions: HK$2,750

The series is designed to build on from previous skills gained from joining over a period of time, which deepens connection, practice, and the community of people who gather together in learning these skills.
