THE WAY OF TEA

THE ART AND PRACTICE OF TEA CEREMONY

Cha Dao -‘'The Way of Tea'’, is a practice & pathway to the meditative mind.

Practiced for centuries by monks and sages, Tea Ceremony is woven of the elements. Water, Fire, Earth, Air and the Qi of the Tea plant participate in a dance that creates space for awakened presence and reflection. In this ceremonial space, the Tea leaf connects us to the energy of nature itself, whereby we cultivate a relationship this experience of drinking the Clouds, and remembering our belonging to this Earth, wherever we find ourselves.

A PATWAY TO CONNECTION WITH NATURE, COMMUNITY AND THE MEDITATIVE MIND.

Tea Ceremony is held in silence, though much is communicated within this space. Each sit can stretch between 1 - 1.5hrs where we will share bowls of living Tea, and have space for questions and reflections at the end.

Tea ceremony does not require any previous experience in meditation of practice, just a willingness to receive. The intention, is simply to create a safe space of where loving awareness, reverence and connection can pour through Tea and into our being.

Tea Ceremony traditionally was a space where both an emporer and a fisherman would both share, where there was no heirarchy. The Way of Tea is fundamentally inclusive, and we wish to work with organisations who support marginalised communities.
