About the event
Learning to twine your own string from plants offers you a resourceful skill for many different situations and will change the way you observe and interact with Nature.
You will learn not just to make string and cordage, but to master the ways in strengthening your string, in balancing the two sides that are woven together to add strength and stability. You'll learn how our ancestors used to make fishing nets, baskets, bags and even clothing. Its not even about the string at all, its about the patience, the observation, the perseverence, the resourcefulness, resilience and weaving all these parts together as the cord of life, all in balance with Nature.
In making string, we will also have an opportunity to make a piece of jewelry from your handmade string and transform it into a bracelet or necklace.
