WILD HEARTH WEAVING HONG KONG 2025

Imagine…
Discovering plants you walk past everyday are actually ancient weaving plant fibres. Learning how to harvest, process and weave your very own basket from its fibres.

Imagine…
Learning weaving techniques passed down from indigenous communities, connecting to Nature, traditions and the people around you through the art of basket weaving.

Imagine…
Adopting a new pace, the pace of basket weaving, where the only thing your basket needs to hold is your attention and presence. To know each one of us that is there, sitting beside each other supports this pace, of slow, conscious beauty making.

Imagine…

Sleeping under the Stars & Moon, cooking by the campfire, sharing songs and strengthening your threads of connection to the natural world, and the people around you.

FAQ

Who is this for? - Those of all ages and genders are welcome. Please note that a solid level of physical fitness and wellbeing will be required to feel comfortable on these experiences.

Can my children come? - Your children are welcome to join! Do please consider if the environment and experiences would be suitable for them to spend their time in, and how their presence may influence you during the immersion. They will be welcome to learn how to weave with us, and there will be a stream nearby for them to play in.
Concession rates will be available for children at 60% ticket cost.

What sort of food will be shared? - We will provide hearty vegetarian meals during the programme. Please contact us if you have any food allergies that we can cater in consideration of. We suggest bringing suitable snacks you might like to nibble on through the day inbetween meals.

I can't join all 4 days, can I still come? - It is absolutely possible to join for single day workshops. The programme has been designed to build on skills and practices shared from the previous day, but you will be able to join in if you have missed the previous day. We would encourage you to stay overnight for the camping programme as what you start weaving that day will require time to complete.

I dont have a tent, will I be able to borrow one? - It may be possible to hire a tent from our venue space. Please contact us if this is a hinderance for you. You will still need to be able to source your own sleeping bag and sleeping mat which is easy to source at camping shops across Hong Kong.

I'd really like to come but I can't afford the full cost - We understand, no one will be turned away for lack of funds, please contact us if the cost is prohibitive for you. While we strive to create inclusive spaces for all, we also have to meet the rising costs of materials, travel, food and venue so we can ensure a regenerative way in which these wholesome, and small group programmes can continue to be offered.

ABOUT JASMINE

Jasmine has had the privilege of living and learning from indigenous weaving teachers from around the world. She carries this great honour with a high degree of respect for these traditions and recognise that these communities steward the Land, plants and ceremonies through their weaving practice.

Through spending time with these communities, Jasmine was taught more than just the practical skills of foraging and weaving techniques, what was passed was also embodying a connection to Nature, an honouring of beauty through simplicity, and movement within the pace of weaving that matches the cycles of Nature.

Jasmine has dedicated her life to the art and practice of foraging for her own weaving materials from the wild and weaving these teachings within them to inspire people to remember the beauty in the ordinary, and our inherent belonging & connection to Nature.

Alongside weaving full time, Jasmine also guides women and young girls in re-wilding & ancestral skills. She also is a trained Vision Quest protector in the Stalking Wolf Lineage and practices Cha Dao in the Lineage of Global Teahut.
